Mond, Sonne und Sterne: Geschichten und Legenden Buch

The myths are organized by culture rather than chronologically, which made it easy to jump straight to the Norse and Polynesian sections I was most curious about. I've read plenty of celestial legend collections, and this one actually credits its sources instead of just retelling.

I've been reading one tale a night before bed and the myths from different cultures are told in a way that actually sticks with you. The section on constellation legends had me looking up at the sky differently the next evening.

The illustrations between chapters are gorgeous, and each myth gets just enough context without turning into a lecture. I've been reading one tale a night, and the section on constellations actually sent me outside to look up.
